Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for Plant WD in Dalton, GA (3rd shift) to lead a safe, efficient production environment and meet customer requirements. The role focuses on safety, quality, and cost management while developing team capabilities.

You will drive continuous improvement, coach associates, and coordinate with other departments to align production plans with demand. This position requires prior manufacturing supervisory experience and a high school diploma/ GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing required.
• Experience as Lead, Fill-In Supervisor or Supervisor within the last 5 years required.
• Carpet Finishing Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations of the 3rd Shift Finishing at Plant WD.
• Lead the shift in safety, quality, production and cost.
• Ability to solve problems, provide direction, coach associates, and hold the team accountable.
• Plan shift production using line up manager and coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands.
• Monitor process status via Head's Up Display and respond to issues.

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is hiring a manufacturing supervisor (3rd shift) for Plant WD in Dalton, GA to lead a safe, efficient and productive work environment so as to satisfy our customers' (both internal and external) requirements and improve the overall abilities of all employees through the demonstration of Shaw's Front Line Leadership Competencies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily shift operation of the 3rd Shift Finishing at Plant WD.
• Must lead the shift in safety, quality, production and cost.
• To be successful a supervisor, a candidate must be able to: solve problems; provide direction; coach associates; hold the team accountable; effectively communicate with peers and management; continuously drive departmental improvements.
• The Supervisor plans shift production using line up manager and works with other departments to meet customer demands.
• The Supervisor monitors the Head's Up Display screen to monitor process status.
