Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Chino, CA to lead a production team, coach operators, and ensure a safe, efficient plant environment. You will drive adherence to the Master Production Schedule and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 1–3 years of manufacturing experience and a solid grasp of Lean and 5S. Strong problem-solving and office software skills are essential for daily reporting and ERP usage.

Qualifications

  • Must have 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Leadership experience is preferred (lead operator or supervisor).
  • Experience with Lean principles and 5S is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a production team while driving operational discipline and maintaining a safe, quality-focused environment.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings and drive accountability for performance and attendance.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material flow to align with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and customer commitments.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement immediate corrective actions; escalate issues when needed.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing of wood veneer materials to minimize defects, damage, and scrap.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by enforcing PPE and 5S standards and leading investigations.
  • Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
  • Maintain daily production reporting and collaborate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.

What You Will Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a production team while driving operational discipline, maintaining a safe and quality-focused environment, and executing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a production team, conducting daily startup meetings and driving accountability for performance and attendance.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and material flow to execute daily production aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and customer commitments.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and constraints, implement immediate corrective actions, and elevate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and processing of wood veneer materials to minimize defects, damage, and scrap.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by conducting safety observations, enforcing PPE and 5S standards, and leading incident/near-miss investigations.
  • Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, optimize workflows, and track key operational KPIs.
  • Maintain daily production reporting and collaborate closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Required Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience).
  • Preferred Education: Associate degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Required Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous leadership, lead operator, team lead, or supervisory experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in wood products, door manufacturing, building products, or related manufacturing environments.
  • Required Skills: Proven ability to read and execute production schedules and track shop-floor metrics.
  • Required Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital production reporting/ERP systems.
  • Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, root-cause problem solving, and 5S methodology.

Compensation

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
