Job summary

Principal Manufacturing Corporation, a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will maintain the general ledger, assist with month-end and year-end close, support payroll activities, prepare financial reports, and assist with audits and inventory counts. Manufacturing accounting experience and GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or CPA candidacy preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience; manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing and inventory accounting preferred.
• Experience supporting external audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Support external auditors during annual financial audits.
• Assist with inventory counts and cost accounting.
