Job summary

Anderson International is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role is office-based in STOW, OH with standard business hours and potential overtime during close periods.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and assisting with audits. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 1–4 years in manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply GAAP in daily activities.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile cash sheet weekly and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Help maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation records.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Support external auditors during annual audits by providing requested documentation.
• Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
• Assist with Cost Accounting as proficiency develops
