Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to join the T1 Operations Shift. You will monitor production flow, analyze metrics, and support line performance during your shift.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety, quality, and speed. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, plus the ability to follow and document procedures in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Intermediate computer skills (>30 WPM typing ability).
• Self-motivated and strong critical thinking skills.

• Effective Communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to both follow and create documented procedures.
• Ability to wear a cleanroom smock for an entire shift and lift up to 25lb.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing metrics on shift (WPD, tool output, rundown).
• Identify bottlenecks and improve line movement and balance.
• Troubleshoot and investigate production roadblocks up to 1st/2nd order of catalyst events.
• Lead a team within and outside the department.
• Multitask efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.

Position Summary

As a member of the T1 Manufacturing Operations Shift team, the employee is responsible for performing activities that improve the flow of production through sections of the line, during their shift, while achieving world-class speed and quality. Duties of a Manufacturing Specialist include but are not limited to: Troubleshooting advanced production issues through the use of a computer; making high-level decisions based on best known methods or operating procedures; tracking, documenting, and communicating production roadblocks; and working as a team leader with outside departments to improve manufacturing performance. As a member of T1 Manufacturing Operations, having high energy with a focus on safety, quality, and speed is necessary.

Role and Responsibilities

• Routinely conducts intermediate data analysis of manufacturing metrics (WPD, tool output, rundown, etc.).
• Pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance.
• Conduct intermediate troubleshooting and root cause investigation of production roadblocks up to the 1st and 2nd order of a catalyst event.
• Work as a team leader both within and outside of the department.
• Ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy.

Work hours: B Shift - Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm - 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.

Total Rewards

The current base salary range for this role is between $19.00 - $25.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
