Job summary

Sierra Instruments, a TASI Measurement company, seeks a Software Sustainability Engineer to understand legacy factory software, support production-critical systems, and modernize interfaces with sensors and instruments while maintaining accuracy, reliability, safety, quality, and traceability.

This on-site role is based at our Monterey, CA facility (with work at our Marina location) and has no remote option.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
Experience with C#, .NET, Python, Visual Basic, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
Experience supporting embedded controllers, firmware, communication interfaces, and legacy software platforms.

Responsibilities

Support and modernize production software and calibration/test systems.
Develop and maintain applications interfacing with production equipment and databases.
Collaborate on software architecture, validation, and deployment activities.
Create reports, dashboards, and tools to improve production visibility and quality.
