Job summary

Cummins Frankfort facility is seeking a Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager to lead manufacturing activities across the plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive performance. We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) Facility in Frankfort, KY.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Provide Manufacturing Leadership - Lead manufacturing operations across a small to medium-sized plant, department, or multiple shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and productive performance.

• Drive Operational Excellence- Deliver results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and leading continuous improvement efforts.

• Measure and Improve Performance- Establish, track, and analyze key operational metrics to identify opportunities, drive accountability, and achieve business objectives.

• Lead Production Operations- Oversee assembly, fabrication, or machining operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements are consistently met.

• Build Strong Partnerships- Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, shop floor employees, and key stakeholders to support operational success and resolve business challenges.

• Manage Business Planning- Lead annual operating plans, forecasting activities, and performance reviews to align manufacturing operations with organizational goals.

• Develop and Coach Talent- Manage, mentor, and develop employees through performance management, training, and career development planning.

• Foster a High-Performing Culture- Promote employee engagement, workforce development, and succession planning to build capable teams and support long-term business success.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
