Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Dover, DE manufacturing facility. You will oversee a section, support the Shift Supervisor, and coordinate daily production tasks in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will lead a small team, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement while facilitating training and hand-offs across shifts. This role requires onsite work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience with progressive responsibility.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.
• On-site QA certification and forklift certification required.
• Basic reading and math skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety guidelines are followed (PPE, cleanliness, clear work areas).
• Ensure team members follow SOPs and quality standards.
• Complete walk-around floor upon arrival for shift hand-off.
• Carry out direction on performance and goals from Shift Supervisor and Management.
• Coordinate production schedule for each shift (cut length, color change, line change).
• Train Product Inspectors and share product expertise with the team.
• Print bundle labels and set up the router.
• Manage PI and Forklift Driver lunches and breaks.
• Ensure personnel perform all assigned duties.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Hold people accountable and coach employees.
• Communicate corrective actions to Shift Supervisor and management.
• Provide feedback for process improvement.
• Maintain shift when Shift Supervisor is out.
