Job summary

Mezzo Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Services II to operate CNC machines (lathes and mills) and produce precision parts. You will set up equipment, monitor operations and ensure parts meet CAD specifications.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, marking material, planning operations, maintaining machine conditions and inspecting output for quality. Requires stand/walk 6–8 hours and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience reading CAD drawings, schematics, blueprints or manuals.
• Ability to use precision tools such as calipers or micrometers.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings or instructions to understand part specifications.
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting.
• Plan sequence of actions to complete jobs.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust feed/temperature as needed.
• Check output against specifications and discard defects.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic repairs.

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Services II role operates computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, to manufacture precision parts. This role is responsible for setting up equipment, and monitoring machine operations. Ensuring parts meet required specifications and quality standards by following CAD drawings or written instructions.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, CAD or instructions to understand specifications of parts to be made
• Takes measurements and mark material for cutting
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
• Monitor output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.)
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Knowledge of metal properties and other material
• Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
• Must be able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in a workday
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
