Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Manufacturing Senior Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for Parker products. You will lead advanced techniques, test new systems, and plan layouts to boost production, quality, cost efficiency, and safety across one or more facilities.

The role requires strong engineering expertise, ability to drive large capital projects, and collaboration with engineering leadership to meet stringent specifications and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related Engineering with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply complex engineering concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems with a systematic approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Process Flow – design and deploy advanced manufacturing processes across facilities to meet product and quality specs.
  • Process Improvement – lead initiatives to improve efficiency, yield, safety, and cost.
  • Engineering Design Support – work with engineering leadership on design concepts and specifications for optimal manufacturing use.
  • Regulatory Compliance – ensure processes meet regulatory standards for the facility and lines.
  • Remediation – identify issues and lead teams to corrective actions to ensure product quality.

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Senior Engineer is an advanced role that provides technical expertise for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment for complex manufacturing / assembly operations in one or more facilities. Supports the manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products. Leads in developing and implementing more advanced manufacturing techniques, testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. May be responsible for developing and deploying large capital projects in one or more facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Process Flow – Analyzes and deploys advanced manufacturing process designs to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products for entire production facility and/or multiple facilities. Identifies equipment and tooling needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.
  • Process Improvement – Identifies and leads process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. Leads teams in large scope process improvement initiatives.
  • Engineering Design Support – Partners closely with engineering leadership regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensures highly complex processes and procedures comply with regulations for entire facility and/or multiple solution lines. Applies frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Remediation – Identifies issues and leads teams that investigate issues for corrective action to ensure product quality, and to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field with 8-10 years of experience; Advanced degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply complex concepts of engineering
  • Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of sophisticated to highly difficult scope and complexity
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures and database programming
  • Demonstrated ability to improve existing procedures or develop new procedures to solve problems while ensuring solutions are safe, sustainable, capable, and cost-effective
  • Ability to absorb and apply new technical information and evaluate implications
  • Ability to effectively communicate difficult concepts and explain a range of complex technical information
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
