Job summary

Qnity Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity OT Engineer/Specialist to deploy and manage OT cybersecurity programs across all manufacturing sites worldwide.

You will lead site-level execution, validate project cybersecurity compliance, and develop PCN cybersecurity standards and best practices. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in OT/ICS security within manufacturing, hands-on experience with secure remote access, asset management, backup and recovery, EDR/XDR, and network segmentation

The Qnity Cybersecurity team is seeking a Cybersecurity OT (Operational Technology) Engineer/Specialist responsible for deploying cybersecurity programs to the Operational Technology (OT) network at all manufacturing sites globally. This position leads the on-site execution of Qnity’s OT cybersecurity program, validates that project execution is compliant from a cybersecurity standpoint, and develops Qnity’s Process Control Network (PCN) Cybersecurity Standards and Best Practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive, hands‑on expertise securing industrial control systems and OT/PCN networks in a manufacturing environment, and will own the site-level deployment of critical cybersecurity initiatives across Qnity’s global site network.

The successful candidate will possess strong hands‑on experience implementing OT cybersecurity technologies, network segmentation architectures, remote access solutions, asset management platforms, backup and recovery systems, and industrial firewall solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Site execution: Lead the execution of Qnity’s OT cybersecurity program at all manufacturing sites.
• Project compliance: Validate that project execution is compliant from a cybersecurity standpoint, serving as the cybersecurity reviewer for automation and capital projects.
• Standards & best practices: Develop and maintain Qnity’s PCN (Process Control Network) Cybersecurity Standards and Best Practices.
• Operational Technology network diagrams: Create and maintain OT network diagrams for each manufacturing site.
• Cybersecurity OT Auditing: Create and maintain the auditing process for our manufacturing sites globally.
• Critical project deployment: Own the site deployment of the following critical initiatives such as:
• Secure Remote Access Solutions (Cyolo or equivalent)
• Vulnerability Management Solutions
• Asset Inventory and Discovery Platforms
• Backup and Recovery Platforms (OctoPlant or equivalent)
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR) Solutions
• Security Monitoring and Event Collection Systems
• Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) Solutions
• OT Network Management and Monitoring Tools
• Implement SIS network segmentation and secure communications architectures.
• Participate in SIS and OT cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP): Develop, maintain, and test the OT/PCN Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) across all manufacturing sites globally.
• Partner with site engineering, IT/OT, and EHS teams to identify OT cybersecurity risks and drive remediation with minimal impact on the area’s ability to produce.
• Set and own OT cybersecurity standards from a global engineering perspective and drive deployment of the technology and best practices throughout the organization.
• Provide technical expertise for Management of Change (MOC), including serving as a cybersecurity technical reviewer of site MOC processes.
• Support the EHS and incident response organizations to assist with OT/PCN cybersecurity investigations and action items.
• Review automation, SIS, and digitalization projects for cybersecurity compliance.
• Participate in project design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Mentor and develop site engineers across the global automation community on OT cybersecurity practices and secure network design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OT/PCN network architecture, segmentation, and the Purdue model for industrial control systems.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, process industry, chemical, energy, life sciences, or similar industrial environments.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing OT cybersecurity tools, including secure remote access, asset/inventory management, backup and recovery, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
