Job summary

PeopleReady in Milton, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Safety Specialist to inspect, test, and improve workplace safety in manufacturing environments. You will conduct audits, ensure compliance with OSHA and company Safety Management Plan, and work with the Safety Manager.

This role requires at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma, 18+ age, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting. Training is provided and contractors must be compliant.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.
• OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour General Industry Card preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, promote teamwork, and support daily operations.
• Conduct audits of work cells to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
• Maintain documentation to comply with the Safety Management Plan, OSHA and other regulations.
• Work with Safety Manager and Supervisors to enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend measures to prevent recurrences.
• Organize and conduct safety meetings and trainings for assigned shift.
• Verify contractors are complying with the Safety Management Plan.
• Promote and attend safety committee meetings; maintain minutes and reports.
• Interact with facility personnel including management, operators, and contractors.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
