Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Safety Director to lead a comprehensive safety program on-site at our Milwaukee-area facilities. You will manage safety policy development, regulatory compliance, and a proactive safety culture across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes team leadership, incident investigations, training, and continuous improvement to ensure a safe, healthy workplace. CSP/ASP preferred; strong collaboration with HR, Quality and Production is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and safety-related certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in safety management or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence culture.
• CSP/ASP or equivalent certification preferred; multi-site exp a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Safety Team across multiple facilities.
• Develop, implement and improve safety policies in line with regulations.
• Drive safety culture through training and leadership engagement.
• Conduct audits, inspections and root cause analyses.
• Provide training and education to employees.
• Oversee investigations and corrective actions; document findings.
• Maintain records and report safety metrics to executives.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, HR and Management to ensure safety.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
