The Pivot Group Network seeks a Quoting Specialist to support manufacturers in the Traverse City region. The role centers on creating accurate cost estimates, building detailed quotes, and coordinating with engineering and production to confirm feasibility.

Qualifications include reading engineering drawings, strong cost-modeling skills, and prior manufacturing quoting experience. This position may involve ERP/quoting software and ERP tools, with an emphasis on accuracy and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong spreadsheet skills for building and checking cost models.
• Familiarity with machining, fabrication, or assembly processes.
• Attention to detail and comfort working with numbers under deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and suppliers.
• Experience preparing quotes or estimates in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a quote log and keep records of past and pending quotes.
• Work with engineering and production to confirm lead times and feasibility.
• Compare actual job costs to quoted costs after order award.
• Review customer drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Request material and outside process pricing from approved suppliers.
• Build cost breakdowns for labor, material, tooling, and freight.
• Submit quotes to customers and track their status through follow up.
• Update quoted pricing when drawings or quantities change.
