**Position Overview:

**

The Manufacturing Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of products within a manufacturing environment. This position involves monitoring and inspecting various stages of the production process, conducting tests and measurements, identifying defects or deviations from quality standards, and collaborating with the production team to implement corrective actions. The Manufacturing Quality Technician works closely with quality engineers and other stakeholders to uphold quality assurance practices and drive continuous improvement efforts.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

  • Quality Inspection and Testing: Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests on raw materials, components, and finished products. Utilize appropriate tools, instruments, and equipment to conduct quality inspections and tests. Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain detailed records.
  • Defect Identification and Analysis: Identify and document any deviations, defects, or non-conformities during the production process. Analyze and troubleshoot quality issues to determine root causes. Collaborate with the quality team and production staff to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Process Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor critical process parameters and ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in process audits and provide recommendations for process improvements. Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment used in quality testing.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing inspection findings, test results, and quality metrics. Generate and maintain quality-related documentation, including inspection logs, non-conformance reports, and corrective action reports. Communicate quality-related information to relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company quality policies. Stay updated with relevant quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality enhancement strategies. Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.

**Requirements:

**

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant education is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a quality technician or a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production equipment. Proficiency in using measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
