Job Description

We're seeking a Manufacturing Quality Technician to join the team! In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting materials and finished products, performing tests to verify compliance with specifications, and identifying ways to improve product quality and production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods for defects and compliance with specifications
  • Use inspection tools and testing equipment, including visual magnification, measuring instruments, and functional tests
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, test results, and quality data
  • Generate reports to track quality trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Follow quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Communicate quality issues effectively with production staff, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet quality objectives
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency
  • Stay current on industry standards and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing and metrology experience
  • Proficient with inspection tools and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining/manufacturing principles
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training is a plus
  • Prior experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment is highly desirable
