Job summary

Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Quality Specialist – PQE to own quality across production. You will review drawings, implement quality systems, and ensure conformance through FAI, Gage R&R, and SPC methods.

The role supports lean Six Sigma improvements, Nadcap/AS9100 audits, inspector training, and overall product quality enhancements in a family-oriented aerospace-focused shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or Associate's degree preferred).
• Skilled in problem-solving and analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Works well under pressure.
• Ability to pass required vision and inspection standards.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use PPE as required.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality throughout the production process and review drawings.
• Implement quality systems and ensure products meet standards.
• Conduct evaluations like FAI and Gage R&R.
• Use SPC methods for control and lead investigations.
• Apply lean and Six Sigma principles for improvements.
• Collaborate with teams and support audits (Nadcap, AS9100) and training.
