Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Specialist – Edison Works Quality Engineer to lead hardware and process quality on the shop floor, in both component manufacturing and lab settings.

The role emphasizes conformance to specifications, daily management, and continuous improvement through QA tools and kaizen. Candidates should understand NPI and low-rate production, with a path toward DoD security clearance where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• High school diploma with 4 years manufacturing quality experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct hardware and process quality development and execution on the Shop Floor in Component Manufacturing and Lab environments.
• Ensure conformance to specification through daily management and QA tools and kaizen activities.
• Perform Audits (Product, Workstation, Special Process) of a shop in support of the Quality Management System.
• Review and approve Manufacturing Work Instructions and other manufacturing documentation.
• Lead RCCA for hardware and quality system issues and manage related containment and resolution.
