Join our team at the GE Appliances Bottom Freezer Refrigeration facility as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Test Systems on the 2nd shift. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our refrigeration products are assembled and tested to perfection, leveraging cutting-edge test systems and process controls to support our production and continuous improvement goals.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Test Systems (2nd Shift)

How You'll Create Possibilities
As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Test Systems, you will:
- Collaborate with operations to exceed quality metrics like First Pass Yield (FPY) and cost-of-quality metrics.
- Analyze test data and lead corrective actions to improve production processes.
- Drive containment and corrective actions for product conformity.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, reducing waste and downtime while optimizing test system performance.
- Develop and maintain workstation documentation, including Manufacturing Control Plans (MCPs) and Quality Alerts.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, or a related Network IT discipline) OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality or plant manufacturing IT experience.
- Hands-on experience in process improvement using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in interpreting data, problem-solving, and driving decisions.
- Familiarity with system solutions (networking, servers, PCs) and tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering degree with exposure to electrical systems.
- Test solution development experience and knowledge of transactional networking.
- Leadership experience in quality or lean manufacturing.
- Background in high-volume manufacturing or appliance production.
- Understanding of regulatory quality standards like ISO or TUV.
