Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer/Quality Engineer in Michigan to drive manufacturing tech and quality initiatives. You will coordinate development, implement quality concepts, and lead audits while ensuring robust processes and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 1+ year of experience, and proficiency with MS Office and QA tools. SAP QM familiarity is a plus. Expect growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field required.
• Experience with quality systems and problem-solving methods preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and coordinate development and optimization of manufacturing technologies with quality metrics.
• Develop quality concepts for PEP/APQP, production transfers, and process changes.
• Lead quality planning across product development and manufacturing processes.
• Design inspection concepts, gauges, and test equipment to meet quality requirements.
• Analyze quality data and communicate insights to project teams and customers.
• Serve as Project Engineer or Project Quality Engineer on complex projects as needed.
• Manage customer complaints via the 8D process and drive CAPA actions.
• Coordinate quality audits and ensure audit readiness and follow-up on findings.
• Collaborate with global operations networks and cross-functional teams.
