Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Fort Mill, SC is seeking an Engineer - Manufacturing Quality Engineering to drive quality improvements across manufacturing processes and products. The role focuses on leading quality planning, process optimization, and robust inspection concepts to support global projects.

You will analyze quality data, collaborate with project teams and suppliers, and contribute to mechatronic projects as needed. Strong GD&T, SAP QM knowledge, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (Required).
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, especially GD&T (Required).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Required).
• Knowledgeable in gauging techniques and surface finish analysis (Required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Required).
• Able to work in teams while managing multiple tasks with quality focus (Required).
• Experienced in quality systems and tools (Required).
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without VISA/sponsorship (Required).
• Familiarity with QM transactions in SAP (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Initiate and coordinate the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing technologies with a focus on quality, efficiency, and robustness.
• Develop and implement quality concepts for Product Engineering Processes and production transfers.
• Lead quality planning throughout product development, focusing on line transfers and processes.
• Design and optimize inspection concepts, gauges, and test equipment to meet quality requirements.
• Analyze quality data and communicate insights to project teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Serve as Project Engineer or Project Quality Engineer in complex mechatronic projects as needed.
• Collaborate with operations manufacturing technology networks and central functions.
