EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Manufacturing Quality Engineer for one of our partners that offers breakthrough technology in the EV Charging space. In this position, you will demonstrate in-depth product knowledge across all subcomponents while ensuring quality control, solving production problems, and providing technical support to manufacturing teams in a cutting-edge power electronics environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge, including design, features, specifications, and functionality of all subcomponents in EV charging technology
  • Ensure products meet required quality standards through monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, and implementing quality control measures
  • Actively identify and solve production-related problems through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention strategies
  • Drive continuous process improvement through predictive studies, preventive measures, and optimization of workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams, serving as primary technical link between production, design engineering, and supplier quality
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, quality control measures, and improvements for traceability and future reference
  • Conduct training sessions for production staff on product knowledge and manufacturing best practices
  • Maintain open communication with engineering teams, production managers, suppliers, and quality assurance personnel
  • Prioritize safety in the production environment by identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation steps
  • Oversee product testing and validation processes to ensure final products meet performance and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and supply chain, for a seamless US manufacturing transition

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen or greencard holder - no sponsorship available
  • BS/AS in Electrical Engineering or technical discipline with 3+ years in Quality manufacturing to ISO 9001 standards OR minimum 5 years' experience in printed circuit/assembly industry with current relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Minitab
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to train and develop the production team in best practices and quality inspection techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytical & Statistical creation and Reporting experience
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610 class 2 requirements)
  • Certification in Quality Engineering Auditing experience or certification to ISO 9001
  • Certification in Quality Engineering
  • Quality manufacturing support experience at Assembly & PCB level
  • Certified Internal Auditor certification
