Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure products and processes meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive quality improvements and reduce defects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring processes, investigating issues, developing QA plans, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, statistical methods, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, CAPA, and control plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Investigate quality issues, nonconformances, and customer complaints using root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process documentation.
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, engineering changes, and production launches.
  • Apply quality methodologies (SPC, FMEA, CAPA, Lean/Six Sigma) to improve process capability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve incoming material quality.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and maintain compliance with quality systems.
  • Train and coach employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Overview

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes consistently meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role partners with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive quality improvements, reduce defects, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing environment.

What Your Background Should Look Like

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, statistical methods, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, CAPA, and control plans.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or similar certification.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable quality standards.
  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $67,500 – 101,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
