Job summary

Tindall Corporation in the Southeast US is seeking a quality control inspector for precast concrete products. You will perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections, concrete testing, curing control, and final product conformance checks to ensure compliance with shop drawings and PCI/ACI standards.

Ideal candidates hold PCI/ACI certification and a high school diploma or GED, with preference for experience in precast concrete.

Qualifications

• PCI/ACI certification required or ideal.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with precast concrete quality control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections to verify tolerances per shop cards and PCI.
• Conduct concrete testing: slumps, unit weights, air content, cylinders; witness stressing.
• Set up curing and monitor finishing; inspect final products for conformance.
• Tag conforming/Non-conforming products; communicate non-conformances for engineering approval.

Performs concrete testing, witnesses stressing, and establishes adequate curing controls.Ideal candidates will have PCI/ACI certification.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.Inspect bed set-up according to shop drawings for proper size and placement of all reinforcement, including strands, plate location, all structural connections.Note any nonconforming items and notify proper personnel to bring product into conformance.Perform concrete testing: slumps, unit weights, air content, release cylinders, 28 day cylinders.Set-up steam clocks to insure proper curing temperature.Monitor finishing procedures in finishing shed.Inspect final products, note any nonconformance’s and notify the Engineering Department for approval or repair work order. All conforming products receive a green tag, all nonconforming products requiring engineering approval receive a red tag.Check red tagged members after they are repaired to insure that they conform to Engineering’s requirements.All non-conformances for engineering approval are to be drawn up and submitted in writing.Job Specific Qualifications:Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.-All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
