Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will manage POs, liaise with suppliers, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure material availability for production.

This contract role offers exposure to SAP/ERP systems and potential for extension, with opportunities to grow in purchasing, supply chain, and analytics within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 2+ years in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Management or Administrative Buying.
• Intermediate Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders with approved suppliers.
• Confirm supplier receipt of purchase orders and obtain acknowledgments.
• Track open purchase orders and follow up on delivery dates and status.
• Update purchasing information in the ERP system.
• Expedite materials to support production schedules.
• Communicate delivery risks and supplier updates to stakeholders.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies related to POs, pricing, receipts, quantities.
• Coordinate with receiving, AP, planning, production and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier communications.
• Support shortage reviews and open-order reporting.
