Key Performance Areas

The CNC Machinist will:

• Set up and operate various semi-complex to complex grinding equipment, including machinery for centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, cut-off, CNC tool grinders, measuring equipment, and other manufacturing tools used in producing inserts.
• Ensure all equipment used to produce Solid Carbide Inserts complies with print specifications and standard operating procedures.
• Input quality, SPC, production, and other data into company information systems.
• Perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment and assist in major repairs.
• Write programs for NC/CNC controlled grinders.
• Operate in full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and adhere to company policies.
• Achieve established cycle time efficiencies and maximize machine utilization.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

Your Profile

• Experience with CNC machines in a mechanical or process industry preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
