CNC 5-Axis Mill Operator across 2nd Shift and 3rd Shifts

Location: Mebane, NC

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented CNC 5-Axis Mill Operator to join our team!

Key Performance Areas

Responsible for setting up and operating CNC 5-axis milling equipment to produce high-quality parts and tools without defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain 5-axis CNC milling machines to meet production KPIs.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure products meet safety, quality, health, and environmental standards.
• Make major adjustments to CNC programs and setups, collaborate with Engineering on machining techniques and tooling, and document all adjustments.
• Operate multiple production machines as required.
• Utilize manufacturing reporting systems effectively.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Interpret blueprints and process plans accurately.
• Prove out first-run programs daily, demonstrating proficiency in G & M code.
• Demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and agility.
• Work independently and collaboratively in team environments.
• Availability to work weekends or off shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements

Frequent: Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, carrying objects, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, walking.

Repetitive Motion: Typing, eye/hand/foot coordination.

Occasional: Sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, handling.

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; Technical College or Trade School diploma preferred. At least 2 years of CNC milling experience, with machining and cutting operations expertise. Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing is a plus. Domestic travel and flexible scheduling may be required.
