Job summary

Mural is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager in Ashland, KY to own the full lifecycle of repair and refurbishment work on heavy steel mill components. You will coordinate production, procurement, scheduling, and customer delivery on a daily basis.

You should be mechanically inclined with experience reading drawings and managing 20+ concurrent projects. A background in manufacturing or trades is preferred, with direct-hire employment and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating 20+ concurrent projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication instructions.
• Strong customer communication skills and proactive status updates.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle for incoming repair/refurbishment work from scoping to delivery.
• Develop scopes of work and translate customer needs into production work orders.
• Identify parts to procure or refurbish; coordinate purchasing with Engineering and Production.
• Monitor schedules and costs across 40–60 active projects; flag delays or overruns.
• Serve as primary customer contact from intake to completion with proactive updates.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead project kick-off meetings to align Sales and Production.
• Maintain organized electronic documentation for every active job.
