Job summary

MYTEX Polymers US Corp in Covington, GA seeks a Project Manager to lead capital and process-improvement projects from initiation to closeout. You will own scope, schedule, budget, and risk, develop integrated plans, and ensure designs meet NFPA and regulatory standards.

The role requires 3+ years in engineering and project management in a manufacturing setting, with PMP or Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related)
• 3+ years in engineering and project management in manufacturing
• PMP or Lean/Six Sigma cert preferred
• Experience managing CAPEX projects through commissioning and startup

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital, engineering, and process improvement projects from initiation through closeout
• Develop integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and tracking
• Review designs to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and regs
• Establish governance with charters, RACI, gate reviews, and status reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional resources across engineering, maintenance, production, quality, procurement, EHS, and contractors
• Manage budgets, forecasts, variances, change orders, and scope creep
• Drive on-time, on-budget delivery and commissioning/startup to operations
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support to teams
• Communicate status and risks to leadership and stakeholders
