Job description

Manufacturing Program Integrator

Leidos' Defense Systems Manufacturing Segment is seeking a Manufacturing Program Integrator to join the team in Huntsville, AL. The role serves as the primary integration point between the Small Cruise Missile and Ground Launched Medium Cruise Missile program and the Leidos Defense Sector Manufacturing Team, integrating manufacturing activities across multiple sites to ensure effective planning, organization, and execution of manufacturing and testing scope.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for manufacturing and testing to execute the full manufacturing strategy.
  • Interface with all functional groups and develop a cross‑functional integration team.
  • Partner with Program Leadership to support proposal and capture efforts for potential opportunities.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and testing content, including make/buy decisions with the Manufacturing functional team.
  • Coordinate with all cost groups to transition the project to full‑rate production.
  • Align manufacturing‑related budgets and costs with Program and Manufacturing finance to ensure successful execution and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate hand‑offs with site‑specific CAMs and establish recurring reviews of cost, schedule, and technical performance across sites.
  • Partner with Manufacturing site and functional leaders to develop Basis of Estimates for total manufacturing and testing scope.
  • Drive cost and schedule performance using KPIs and metrics to support Program objectives.
  • Ensure material readiness for manufacturing orders.
  • Provide variance analysis, rationale, and corrective action plans as required by the Programs and/or Manufacturing.
  • Contribute manufacturing and testing inputs to Program leadership for recurring reviews.
  • Track project action items and Project ID labor reporting.
  • Provide quality and compliance oversight, including risk and opportunity management.
  • Drive continuous improvement plans and should‑cost analyses to ensure program efficiencies and profitability.
  • Lead/develop elements of the manufacturing plan as required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline with 12+ years of experience in manufacturing management and a deep understanding of cost and schedule management techniques.
  • 8 years of project leadership or personnel management within a manufacturing program/project environment.
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager on a complex hardware production program.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize activities between a Program organization and an executing manufacturing organization.
  • Experience applying EVMS and reporting on complex projects using earned‑value KPIs.
  • Manufacturing experience in electronics, cables, or complex system integration and test.
  • Experience delivering recurring briefings to leadership stakeholders on program/product status.
  • Experience with program start‑up (NPI), plant optimization, and/or plant operations.
  • U.S. Citizen required; must possess or be eligible for a Final Secret clearance or obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management for Defense, Aerospace, or Commercial projects.
  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering training and applicable experience.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience with AS9100 and DCMA standards.
  • Experience conducting Manufacturing Risk and Readiness Assessments.
  • Familiarity with DoD Manufacturing Readiness Levels.
  • Experience with Costpoint MRP and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Leadership of a cross‑functional team with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Manufacturing.
  • Experience planning hardware product realization efforts.
  • Project Management experience; PMP or PMI certification a plus.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, advanced Excel, SQL queries, and data reporting/management.
