Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Process Technician to operate and maintain plastic injection and blow-molding equipment, ensuring our products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Based in Newark, OH, you will cover night shifts with a 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off schedule. Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, with a benefits package including 401(k), PTO, and comprehensive medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Mechanical inclination and hands-on repair abilities.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in high-volume production.
• Knowledge of injection or blow molding machines is a plus.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electromechanical systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operate Sidel blow-molding and Husky/Milacron injection machines.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings (heat control, cooling, hydraulic pressure) to maintain production.
• Troubleshoot machines and perform basic maintenance.
• Check product quality against specifications (weights, dimensions).
• Collaborate with coworkers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Learn new skills through hands-on training and career development.

Job description

As a Process Technicians you are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection & blow molding machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Shift

• Nigh Shift: 6:45pm - 7:00am EST
• 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off

Pay Range

• $20.00 - $25.00/hour
• Starting rate is based on experience & qualifications.

You Will

• Operating Sidel blow-molding manufacturing equipment along with Husky and Milacron injection machines.
• Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.
• Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).
• Teaming up with your co-workers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Learning new skills with hands‑on training and career development opportunities.

You Have

• Mechanical inclination – you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of injection or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
