IDEX Corporation in Farmington, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Production Team Lead for the PPVS area on the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) with a 10% shift differential. This hands-on frontline role mentors a multi-cell team, coordinates daily production, and drives safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a high-mix, high-volume environment.

You will analyze data, schedule work, partner with Quality and Engineering, and deploy lean methods to improve cost, on-time delivery, and conformance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years in manufacturing outside of Mott or 3 years at Mott.
• Prior leadership or lead-level experience.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools and methods.
• Ability to handle a dynamic, high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, establish priorities and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cells.
• Actively support production by producing and/or inspecting parts to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Collect operational data, identify manufacturing pain points, and provide feedback to Quality and Engineering; recommend and implement improvements.
• Lead and execute continuous improvement projects to achieve targeted performance outcomes.
• Monitor employee performance; escalate concerns up to a memorandum for record as appropriate.
• Partner with Quality to drive resolution of customer complaints and corrective actions.
• Model and reinforce a culture of safety, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This role serves as a role model and advocate for continuous improvement, safety, quality, and employee ownership.Team Leaders directly impact business performance by aligning people, priorities, and processes to meet production schedules while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and ownership consistent with Mott’s employee-owned values. Second shift is 3pm-11pm.
