Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor I
Location: Riverside, CA 92508
Duration: 4 Months Contract (Temp to hire)
Shift: 3rd Shift 4 10’s with flexibility for rolling schedule. Training will be provided in all production areas. Once training is completed, the worker will go to 3rd shift.
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr - $38.00/hr
Description:
- As a Production Supervisor at our soup facility, you'll oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient production of high-quality soups.
- Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing production schedules, and ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments for ingredient procurement, inventory monitoring, and process optimization.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, enforce food safety protocols, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
Main Responsibilities
Production Oversight:
- Ensure GMP compliance in all processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Staff Supervision:
- Lead and support production associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Quality Control:
- Train and enforce quality standards.
- Address product quality issues.
Inventory Management:
- Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Coordinate with supply chain for stock optimization.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols.
- Conduct safety training.
Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure clear and respectful communication.
Training and Development:
- Train new employees.
- Provide ongoing skills development.
Problem Resolution:
- Address production issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.).
- Stay updated on industry regulations.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Address equipment issues quickly.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records.
- Generate management reports.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in production.
- At least 1 year of experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing a diverse, unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop employees.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
