Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Product Security Lead in Dallas to safeguard IP, products, and confidential information across the lifecycle. Lead security programs spanning physical and digital assets, manufacturing, and supply chain, partnering with Operations, Engineering, IT, Legal, and external partners.

You will drive risk assessments, implement controls, and foster security awareness while aligning with security standards and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a Product Security Lead to protect highly sensitive intellectual property, proprietary products, and confidential information throughout the entire product lifecycle. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security programs that safeguard physical products, digital assets, manufacturing operations, and supply chain activities.

The Product Security Lead serves as the local subject matter expert for product security and works closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, information technology, legal, and external partners to mitigate risk, prevent theft, protect intellectual property, and ensure compliance with established security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Security & Intellectual Property Protection

• Lead efforts to protect confidential product information, intellectual property, and physical products throughout the product lifecycle
• Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, controls, and best practices designed to prevent product theft, counterfeiting, unauthorized access, and information leaks
• Ensure security measures are integrated across product development, manufacturing, storage, transportation, and distribution processes
• Support secure management of digital assets, internal databases, file transfer systems, and production environments
• Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization
• Conduct security risk assessments across manufacturing operations, supply chain activities, facilities, and business processes
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk exposure
• Monitor compliance with internal security standards and established security frameworks
• Develop and maintain security metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that measure program effectiveness
• Evaluate emerging security threats and develop recommendations to strengthen organizational security posture

Physical Security Operations

• Manage local physical security systems including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and facility security controls
• Review security events, logs, and activity reports to identify risks and potential vulnerabilities
• Recommend and implement enhancements to physical security infrastructure and site protection measures
• Support visitor management programs, credential administration, and restricted-access controls
• Partner with operations teams to ensure secure manufacturing and warehousing practices

Security Auditing & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct security audits and inspections to verify compliance with established requirements
• Monitor security processes and programs to ensure continuous improvement
• Develop action plans to address identified security gaps and vulnerabilities
• Benchmark security processes against industry best practices and implement improvements where appropriate
• Support security-related training and awareness initiatives throughout the organization

Supplier & Third-Party Security Management

• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and external partners to ensure adherence to organizational security standards
• Evaluate third-party security risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Support security reviews and assessments of external partners involved in manufacturing, logistics, or product handling activities
• Provide guidance and education on product security requirements and expectations

Incident Response & Investigations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for product security incidents and investigations
• Lead and coordinate investigations related to theft, intellectual property concerns, product diversion, unauthorized access, or security breaches
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Coordinate with legal counsel, law enforcement agencies, and external stakeholders when necessary
• Support incident response planning, execution, and reporting activities

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Information Technology, and Legal teams to strengthen security processes
• Support organizational initiatives focused on risk reduction and intellectual property protection
• Provide recommendations to leadership regarding security investments, controls, and strategic improvements
• Serve as the local expert and trusted advisor on all product security matters

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Security, Engineering, Business, Risk Management, or related discipline
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CPP, PSP, or similar security credentials
• Familiarity with supply chain security programs and industry security standards
• Experience supporting intellectual property protection initiatives
• Knowledge of anti-counterfeiting programs, track-and-trace solutions, and product authentication technologies
• Experience conducting security audits, incident investigations, and threat assessments
