Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing business or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with rubber-to-metal molding or plastic molding is a plus.
• Experience working with adhesives and applying adhesives to metals in molding is a plus.
• Proven track record in program management and leadership with ability to communicate at all levels.
• Knowledge of molding tooling design and development, lean manufacturing, and equipment design/assembly engineering.
• Experience in ISO/TS/AS 9100 environment is preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Understand, observe and enforce all safety practices.
• Serve as technical liaison with production planning, operations and product engineering.
• Plan and design manufacturing processes following APQP principles when requested.
• Maximize efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization.
• Review and evaluate proposed and processed engineering changes or other specifications.
• Oversee prototypes during development to ensure future manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot main process issues including tooling.
• Implement process improvements to tighten process capability (SPC).
