Job summary

Alinabal is seeking a process engineer to move between the manufacturing floor and engineering teams, refining methods, tooling, and routings to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will document instructions and BOMs, troubleshoot equipment, and drive continuous improvement across the value stream.

Responsibilities include analyzing cycle times, scrap, and rework; industrializing new products; verifying process capability; and coaching teams in Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S principles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and 5S methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Walk the line to observe workflows and refine manufacturing methods and routings.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues hands-on to keep production running.
  • Analyze cycle times, throughput, scrap, and rework to identify improvements.
  • Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling; recommend upgrades.
  • Translate drawings/specs into robust builds and select manufacturing processes.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process specs, BOMs, routings, and ERP records.
  • Industrialize new products and engineering changes for safe, on-time launches.
  • Verify process capability; apply root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive cost-reduction projects; support 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Train operators on new/revised methods; ensure safety and compliance.

Role OverviewEach day you’ll move seamlessly from our production floor to engineering huddles, turning problems into improvements. You’ll refine processes, dial-in tooling, and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering to make safety, quality, delivery, and cost better—continuously.What your day looks likeWalk the line to observe workflows; document and refine manufacturing methods and routings for repeatability.Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues hands-on to keep production running smoothly.Analyze cycle times, throughput, scrap, and rework to find and prioritize the biggest wins.Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling; recommend equipment and process upgrades.Translate drawings/specifications into robust builds; select the right manufacturing processes.Create and maintain work instructions, process specs, BOMs, routings, and ERP records.Industrialize new products and engineering changes so they launch safely, on time, and at rate.Verify process capability and stability; apply root-cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise.Resolve nonconformances and material discrepancies alongside Quality and Supply Chain.Drive cost-reduction projects; support 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives across the value stream.Contribute to equipment selection, process development, validation, and production readiness.Develop standards, document best practices, and train operators on new/revised methods.Ensure compliance with safety, customer, and engineering requirements; assess risk and mitigate proactively.Maintain a clean, safe work area; perform other related duties in support of operations.What you bringBachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering (or similar) preferred; equivalent experience considered.2–5 years in manufacturing or process engineering preferred, with strong understanding of production processes.Fluency reading drawings and specs; experienced in process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.Root-cause and corrective action know-how; familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S.Experience creating/optimizing tooling and fixtures is a plus.Proficiency with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.Comfort with ERP/MRP, routings, and BOMs.Analytical problem-solver and clear communicator who collaborates well across functions.Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production needs.Work settingEnvironment: On the manufacturing floor with industrial equipment, noise, and temperature variation.Physical demands: Active role with frequent standing/walking/bending; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for extended hours/weekends as production requires.Travel: Minimal; primarily training or coordination with other facilities.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionsPaid time off and company holidaysLife and disability insurancePreferred proficienciesContinuous improvement mindset5 Whys (root-cause analysis)Authoring clear manufacturing instructions (MIs)Process engineering and developmentERP/MRP proficiencyExposure to aerospace manufacturingProcess development from concept to productionTools and systemsCAD platform (SolidWorks)ERP softwareNotesThe duties listed above illustrate the types of work performed; related tasks may be assigned when aligned with the role.Compliance and noticesADA Compliance: Alinabal is committed to providing reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
