Job summary

Timpte, Inc. in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the growth of our brand new Lincoln Manufacturing Center. You will help develop tooling, fixtures, equipment, and processes to improve safety, throughput, and quality.

The role requires an AAS degree in manufacturing or 3+ years of related experience, ability to read engineering drawings, and knowledge of fabrication and welding. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in a Manufacturing related field or minimum of 3 years experience in related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering part drawings.
• Must have an understanding of Fabrication, Subassembly, and Final line assembly in a Manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and implement solutions.
• Manufacturing experience in metal fabricator and/or welding is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Support new process development and sustainment activities to improve production safety, throughput, and quality.
• Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, teams, and trainings to drive continuous improvement in conjunction with our Timpte Production System.
• Assist with equipment and/or tooling design, development, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and update tooling and process documentation for all equipment and processes.
