Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated Process & Equipment Engineering interns to join our state-of-the-art 300mm factory. You will work with an assigned engineer on process improvement projects and contribute to reliability initiatives.

As an intern, you’ll gain one-on-one mentorship, professional development opportunities, and exposure to executives, while collaborating with maintenance teams and production staff to drive results.

Qualifications

• Education – At least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science or related field.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Work with an assigned engineer to reduce variability in process recovery procedures.
• Increase ability to detect problems earlier and improve LOD.
• Reduce cost of chemicals and qualification wafers.
• Standardize processes across like equipment.
• Enhance process performance measurement techniques.
• Lead improvement projects and present results.
• Collaborate with equipment and maintenance teams in a dynamic environment.
