Our well-known and respected brands include Rockwood Manufacturing, Pemko, and McKinney Hinges. We have recently started a production line for our Pemko products within one of our sister facilities, Rockwood Manufacturing, located in beautiful Somerset, PA. Pemco is a trusted source in providing a diverse product line, including thresholds, fire/smoke gaskets, sliding hardware, continuous hinges, and ADA-compliant solutions. Responsibilities for Manufacturing Process Engineer:

• Responsible for driving improvement projects throughout value stream to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Writes procedures, investigates, establishes protocols, and reports change controls to support client programs.
• Requires working knowledge of engineering principles and practices that can be applied to a broad variety of assignments in related fields, the ability to develop and apply creative technical solutions to complex problems, and work with manufacturing automation engineer, product engineering, production, and quality assurance staff to develop requirements and recommendations for large and somewhat complex processes and systems.
• Plan, conduct, or coordinate relatively straightforward engineering analyses & tests.
• Provide day-to-day production support where needed.
• Create, modify and manage bills of materials.
• Provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned unit operations.
• Manage change control for assigned projects.
• Identify and initiate process improvements in conjunction with the Product Engineering team.
• Work with production, automation, and project engineering groups on process improvement projects.

Qualifications for Manufacturing Process Engineer:

• Strong equipment and mechanical knowledge.
• Good interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills, with ability to make and implement decisions.
• Motivated to work on own initiative with results-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of CNC controlled equipment.
• SolidWorks / AutoCAD experience, while not essential, would be an advantage.
• Must be a team player with good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Develop and submit justification for capital equipment projects to support areas within manufacturing related to above-mentioned products and processes.
• Demonstrated exposure to and application of a variety of lean and Six Sigma tools (value stream mapping, 5S, flow, pull).
• BS in science/engineering required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering field of study.
• 1-3 years experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Project).
