Job summary

Magnera Corporation, located in Mooresville, NC, seeks a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and operations. You will partner with production, quality, maintenance, and EHS to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical solutions.

Develop SOPs, control plans, and KPIs; lead trials and root-cause investigations to sustain performance.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering field.
3 years of prior relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Previous supervision and project management experience preferred.
Understanding of chemical properties within the plastic industry preferred.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing and operational processes to increase safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and EHS to analyze end to end workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methods.
Develop and optimize standard operating procedures, process control plans, and KPIs; lead trials, validations, and root-cause investigations to sustain performance.
Lead meetings, Kaizen events, and other actions as they relate to the Engineering Department; coordinate with managers on equipment upgrades or modifications.
Coordinate production order instructions with Production Scheduler for new or existing products as a result of a new specification or change.
