Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with costing, leading teams, Lean Six Sigma, facility layout, Kanban, capital justification, new product/process development.
• Machining environment experience highly desired.
• AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor, MS Office and ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support production and provide technical expertise to solve quality, delivery, and productivity issues for value streams.
• Design work holding and tooling solutions for new or existing manufacturing components.
• Lead continuous improvement/lean projects such as SMED, standard work kaizens, and value stream mapping.
• Design, plan, and coordinate facility layout improvements.
• Lead production teams using heuristic problem solving techniques (FAST) to resolve issues.
• Drive root cause analysis using tools like A3, 8D, Fishbone, and 5Why.
• Identify new technology to improve manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate and implement engineering change orders in manufacturing including process/equipment modifications.
• Create, edit, and maintain critical process documentation.
• Facilitate CAPEX projects with vendors.
