Job summary

Terumo Aortic in Sunrise, Florida, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the engineering team updating and implementing SAP/HANA, developing processes, layouts, and device history records. You will drive process improvements and CAPAs while collaborating with R&D and Process Development to transfer designs to manufacturing.

The role requires 3+ years in the medical device industry, hands-on knowledge of electronics, materials, and manufacturing, and a track record of Lean improvements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role in the medical device industry.
• Project management experience in the medical device industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of electronics, motion control, plastics, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with polymers, medical grade metals and medical packaging.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing engineering team updating and implementing SAP/HANA.
• Refine manufacturing processes and flow for productivity gains.
• Develop and implement fixtures, jigs, tools, and gages using CAD tools.
• Perform CAPAs and root cause investigations to drive improvements.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce costs and eliminate waste.
• Lead design transfer projects with R&D and Process Development.
• Perform IQ/OQ/PQ activities and document results.
