Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in Greenfield, IN seeks a process engineer to ensure daily manufacturing output targets while advancing safety, productivity, and quality. This is a fully onsite role in our Greenfield plant.

Responsibilities include supporting production departments, improving processes, coordinating maintenance, and generating reports. Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, PLCs, robots, and CAD tools is helpful.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering or technology or equivalent
• 5+ years’ work experience in process engineering
• Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
• Knowledge of computer programs necessary to perform job duties
• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field
• 5+ years of related automotive work experience in high-volume, precision processes
• Knowledge of die casting and PLC systems and programming
• Knowledge of robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, etc.)
• Machine, valve, and vacuum systems knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to production departments: 30%
• Interact with production departments to develop and improve manufacturing: 20%
• Identify, coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas: 15%
• Schedule and coordinate timely preventive maintenance of equipment: 15%
• Produce reports to show impact of activities and attend meetings as required: 10%
• Support cross-training efforts by providing guidance and direction: 5%
• Other duties as assigned: 5%
