Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC is seeking a manufacturing/production engineer to lead continuous improvement, develop work instructions, and support operations across engineering, quality, planning, and maintenance. You will conduct time studies, design tooling, and manage changes while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes, with Lean/Six Sigma exposure and CAD/MRP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Experience in process development, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, tooling, and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of machining, assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with BOM management and engineering change control.
• Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and corrective actions.
• Experience in fixture/tooling design and process optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital manufacturing platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project execution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and QC work methods.
• Conduct time studies and process analysis to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing aids.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, planning, and maintenance teams.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances, quality issues, and rework activities.
• Manage Concession Requests, Notes, and manufacturing change activities.
• Drive machine and process improvement projects.
• Interface with suppliers, technology teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve manufacturing challenges and support operational goals.
