Job summary

Accuride Corporation seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering direction for manufacturing capability objectives. You will plan, design, and lead projects to incorporate new equipment, processes, and technologies while driving continuous improvement across processes.

The role requires five years of manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume producing environments, with expertise in CNC machining, forging, spin-forming, heat treating and automation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred).
• Five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume production environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering/design software.
• Experience developing CNC machining processes in aluminum wheel/auto industry.
• Knowledge of forging, spin-forming, heat treating, and CNC equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma knowledge; ISO/IATF 16949 a plus.
• Experience with PLC controls and robotics/automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering direction to achieve manufacturing capability objectives.
• Develop and document manufacturing process specifications.
• Create repeatable processes using data to guide improvements.
• Assist with programming/control of robotics automation.
• Use 3-D modeling tools to develop process improvements.
• Collaborate with quality to ensure process stability.
• Lead projects through design, install, start-up phases and procurement.
