Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with a technical background.
  • Experience in automotive glass processing is preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review weekly production metrics to identify deficiencies and drive improvements.
  • Manage process tooling and confirm readiness for changeovers.
  • Walk the line with operators to troubleshoot issues in real time and reduce scrap.
  • Verify components meet customer specifications through checks and documentation.
  • Issue or revise drawings and process sheets as improvements are validated.
  • Coach operators to safely run plant equipment and improve capability.
  • Apply Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, and Pareto analysis to stabilize and enhance processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align tooling, methods, and documentation with production needs.

Manufacturing Process Engineer — Automotive Glass FabricationStep into a pivotal role shaping how precision glass components are made. You will own an assigned area of our glass fabrication line, turning data and on-the-floor insights into reliable, repeatable results.A day in the lifeBegin by reviewing weekly production metrics, spotting deficiencies, and prioritizing improvements that lift capability and reduce scrap.Prepare for upcoming runs by managing all process-related tooling and confirming it’s ready for changeovers.Walk the line with operators to troubleshoot issues in real time, reduce defects, increase throughput, and improve dimensional capability.Verify that components conform to customer specifications through checks and documentation.Issue or revise drawings and process sheets as continuous improvements are validated.Coach operators to safely and effectively run plant equipment and machinery.How you’ll drive improvementApply Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, and Pareto analysis to stabilize and enhance the process.Implement sustained changes that cut scrap and boost capability across your area of responsibility.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure tooling, methods, and documentation are synchronized with production needs.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical), or an equivalent technical degree, or applicable years of automotive glass processing experience.Six Sigma certification preferred.Experience3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.PLC experience preferred.Proficiency in CAD; SolidWorks preferred.Background with manufacturing equipment or assembly lines.Technical toolkitComfort using Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, and Pareto tools to drive and sustain production performance.Advanced/intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.What makes you successful hereHands-on problem-solver with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.Effective communicator and team collaborator with high initiative.Deep understanding of processes and their interactions.Willingness to work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.Our valuesSafety · Accountability · Results Oriented · Team Approach · Customer Focused · Integrity and Ethics
