E IT in Michigan is seeking a Process Engineer to support axle carrier machining, applying engineering principles to establish and improve processes, enhancing safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.

The role is on-site, morning shift, leading projects, conducting process audits, performing ergonomic evaluations, and delivering capable processes and tooling for assembly operations.

Responsabilidades

• Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities for axle carrier machining.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
• Lead projects, including the delivery and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
• Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with operational guidelines.
• Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required.
• Analyze carrier inventory root causes and engage in mapping and corrective actions to reduce rejects.
• Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes.
• Deliver capable processes and tools for assembly operations.
• Lead the resolution of machining-related concerns.
• Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards.
• Identify throughput constraints and drive root-cause improvements to achieve rate-of-climb targets.

The Process Engineer will support Manufacturing Process Engineering activities for axle carrier machining. This role will apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes while driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and throughput. The position is fully onsite and works a morning shift.

• Strong understanding of Gauge R&R and capability studies.
• Experience working with axles or other automotive components.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and DOE.
• Visual Factory Management experience.
• Knowledge and experience in ergonomic analysis.
