Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites students to join its internship program in East Chicago, IN, to support manufacturing planning activities. As an intern, you will build production schedules, manage WIP inventories, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and accounting on planning and order expediting.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Supply Chain, Business, or another Business-related field.
Completion of sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Build production schedules to support customer delivery expectations.
Manage WIP inventories.
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and accounting for planning/scheduling and expediting orders.
Use Excel and SQL Server Management Studio to retrieve, filter, and validate data.
Produce and issue standard daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
Analyze operations data and tell a clear story of issues and required actions.
Support monthly and annual production forecast planning.
Automate repetitive Excel tasks and maintain automated reports.
Support company-wide delivery improvement initiatives.
Handle other duties to support the business.
