Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites motivated students to join as Manufacturing Planning Analyst Intern at our Burns Harbor, IN site. You will build production schedules to meet delivery expectations, manage WIP, and collaborate with Sales, Operations and Accounting to optimize planning and expediting of customer orders.

You will leverage Excel and SSMS to extract and analyze data, generate standard reports, and support forecast and automation efforts.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Supply Chain, Business, or another Business-related field.
• Completion of sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Build production schedules to support customer delivery expectations.
• Manage WIP inventories.
• Work with Sales, Operations management, and accounting in planning/scheduling of operating units and expediting orders.
• Utilize Excel and SQL Server Management Studio to retrieve, filter, and validate data.
• Populate and issue standard daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Provide analysis from operation data and develop clear narrative of issues and actions.
• Support monthly and annual production forecast planning process.
• Automate repetitive Excel tasks and maintain automated reports using scheduler.
• Support the company-wide delivery improvement initiative.
• Various other duties as needed to support the business.
