Position

Import Material Planner – Anderson, SC office.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production resources for a range of products with low to moderate complexity to meet the Master Production Schedule and/or customer orders.
• Resolve manufacturing resource and material availability issues affecting the schedule.
• Review ERP signal plan orders and prioritize the creation of work orders, allocating associated materials.
• Prepare weekly schedules that align with the MPS plan, including start and completion of manufacturing.
• Communicate production priorities and follow up as needed to support the schedule attainment target.
• Ensure planning parameters such as safety stock, lot size and MOQ are reviewed quarterly.
• Meet planning KPIs including attainment to schedule (AtS), schedule attainment (SA) and master plan attainment (MPS) along with work order aging requirements.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of management and with Chinese counterparts.
• Act as a team player, willing to help out co‑workers and contribute to team projects.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, urgency, and the ability to prioritize workload, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• University or bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
• At least two years of work experience with MPS/MRP in a manufacturing environment.
• Supply Chain certification (APICS) desirable.
• Computer literacy: Excel is a must; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures and process instructions on drawings.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Windchill Doc is desired.
